What’s the latest with Sicon v25?

Sicon’s v25 development stream is focused on usability, accuracy and efficiency. Here’s a roundup of the key areas under the spotlight for the latest progress of v25:

Sicon Projects and Construction

Project teams will welcome big changes around estimating, budgeting and billing.

  • Smarter estimating: Build project estimates directly from operations, factoring in labour hours, unit costs, selling prices and required stock.
  • Margin control: Edit profit margins right up to phase level, with automatic roll-down across the rest of the project. This removes the need to adjust every product line manually – saving time and reducing errors.
  • Revisions and reporting: Create revisions quickly to adjust costings and budgets, with the ability to generate reports and print estimates.
  • Billing improvements: Group sales orders and invoices for clearer, more accurate billing. Enhancements to billing times (particularly around materials) bring even more flexibility.

In Sicon Construction, users will soon be able to generate applications from budgets, forecasts or transactions, supported by improved reporting tools.

Approvals

For Approvals, there’s a real focus on the user experience based on customer feedback:

  • Expense and invoice approval will be moving into the Sicon Hub, bringing a cleaner design, faster processing and full mobile compatibility.
  • Security is being further strengthened, especially around approvals.
  • Soon to follow will be purchase requisitions, timesheets, and more document types.

Works Orders and Manufacturing

For teams managing works orders, the emphasis is on usability and visibility:

  • Enhanced searching – users can find works orders by name, number or stock code in seconds.
  • New health checks for works orders – a big support win to help with identifying and resolving issues quickly.
  • Ability to unbook single booking transactions when needed.
  • Consistent works order creation workflows to simplify training and onboarding.

For businesses moving from Sage’s legacy manufacturing module, Sicon is developing a smooth migration path, including work order imports and legacy views. Distribution and Barcoding

Logistics teams will see notable gains in accuracy and traceability through the following changes:

  • Proof of delivery will be built into Sicon Documents – with records of goods sent out on sales orders.
  • Packing and wave picking enhancements, making it easier to handle individual orders and correct mistakes.
  • Expanded courier integrations, including updates to the Windsor framework for the Northern Irish market.
  • Container handling improvements, with better visibility for part-received goods and flexibility to add case lines.
  • Stronger intercompany tools for moving stock and creating bins.

CRM and Financials

Customer-facing teams aren’t left out, with the following changes:

  • Sicon CRM is gaining improvements to company types, approvals, price enquiries and web reporting.
  • Campaigns v2 is on its way, supporting more structured outreach.
  • Document automation is expanding to cover customer remittance processing.
  • Email integration is improving too, with support for Office 365 and Gmail in distribution and automation features.

Looking ahead: v26 and beyond

While v25 is bringing a wide spread of enhancements, the bigger picture is the way Sicon is evolving its release cycle and preparing the ground for a major new feature: the Sicon Hub.

The new release cycle

Sicon now delivers updates through a phased approach:

  • Development Releases (e.g. v25.1 through v25.4) bring incremental new features and bug fixes.
  • Once the cycle is complete, the final version transitions into a Full Release (e.g. v26), which becomes the stable platform.
  • Full Releases then receive fortnightly hotfixes, followed by six-monthly service packs during extended life.

That means:

  • v25.2 is the current Development Release.
  • v26, the next Full Release, arrives in February 2026.
  • v27 will follow the same pattern, with a Full Release in February 2027.

Product Roadmaps

To give customers clearer visibility, Sicon now publishes Product Roadmaps. These outline what’s in active development, while giving a nod under consideration for future releases. Users can see what’s coming and when, aligning training and internal processes with future features that are to come. Sicon are also inviting votes on roadmap items to influence priorities to developments.

Many of Sicon’s best enhancements come directly from customer suggestions – so this is your chance to help shape the tools you use every day.

Coming in v26: The Sicon Hub

One of the most exciting developments is the launch of the Sicon Hub in v26, due in February 2026.

The Hub will provide a fresh, modern interface that centralises data and streamlines workflows across multiple modules.

Some of the highlights from the launch of the Sicon Hub for v26 will include:

  • Unified access for Expenses, Invoices and Projects (with more to follow).
  • Anywhere, any device access – perfect for project managers and finance teams on the move.
  • Real-time financial insight to monitor profitability, adjust budgets, and manage costs.
  • Faster navigation and improved performance across day-to-day activities.

This is a big step towards a more intuitive, connected Sicon experience, and one we’ll be keeping a close eye on as February 2026 approaches. As with everything Sicon, we’ll be keeping all Thinc customers up to date on the latest advancements.
